- Die abschließende Erzählung in D'Anna Biers' Dokumentation über Galactica, die über eine Bildermontage vom Schiff gelegt ist. Die Koloniale Hymne läuft im Hintergrund und schwillt teilweise dramatisch an:
- D'Anna Biers: Ich kam zur Galactica um eine Geschichte zu erzählen. Ehrlich gesagt dachte ich, dass ich die Geschichte bereits kannte, bevor ich überhaupt einen Fuß auf die Galactica setzte: wie ein Haufen arroganter Militärs zusieht, wie ihre Egos sie davon abhalten, ihre Arbeit zu tun, das Leben der Zivilbevölkerung zu schützen. Aber die Wahrheit war komplizierter. Diese Leute sind keine Zylonen. Sie sind keine Roboter, die blind Befehle befolgen und ihre Stiefel polieren. Es sind Menschen. Zutiefst fehlerhaft, ja, aber auch zutiefst menschlich. Vielleicht ist beides gleichbedeutend. Ohne Hoffnung, die Bürde an Andere abgeben zu können. Es ist keine Ablösung unterwegs, und es gibt keine koloniale Flotte, die tagtäglich neue Rekruten ausbildet. Es gibt nur die Leute auf der Galactica. Sie sind alles, was uns von den Zylonen trennt. Leutnant Gaeta erwähnte mit gegenüber eine bemerkenswerte Statistik. Bisher hat kein einziges Besatzungsmitglied der Galactica beantragt, den Dienst zu quittieren. Nicht einer. Stellen Sie sich das vor.
