Die Flotte

Nach der Zerstörung der Zwölf Kolonien und den übrigen Kampfsternen durch die Zylonen entschließt Commander Adama: "Wir werden auch zurückschlagen. Aber nicht hier, nicht jetzt, nicht in den Kolonien. Nichteinmal in diesem Sternensystem. Verkündet diese Botschaft jedem Mann, jeder Frau, jedem Kind, die diese Katastrophe überlebt haben. Sagt ihnen, sie sollen sich sofort auf den Weg machen." --Adama

Unter dem Schutz der Galactica, besteht die Flotte besteht aus 220 zivilen Schiffe, die sich zusammen auf die Suche nach dem verlorenen Dreizehnten Stamm und der Erde machen. Mit Ausnahme der Galactica, sind die Schiffe nicht in der Lage mit Lichtgeschwindigkeit zu fliegen. Die Geschwindigkeit der Flotte ist somit auf die des langsamsten Schiffs in der Gruppe beschränkt. Da alle Schiffe in der Flotte bis an ihre Kapazität (oder darüber) gefüllt sind, ist eine Entfernung der langsameren Schiffe aus der Flotte kein Thema.

The Senior ship is mentioned by Adama when he tells of Siress Blassie's attempts to find out the whereabouts of Chameleon (The Man with Nine Lives).
Die Delphi is shown in the "Galactica 1980" episode "The Super Scouts, Part I", and is the Fleet's schooling ship.

Andere Schiffe

The Fleet is also comprised of shuttles and Colonial Vipers, which are likely not indicated in the "220 ship" figure given in "Saga of a Star World". It is indicated that there are non-military shuttles that ferry people and, possibly, supplies throughout the Fleet. One such craft is the shuttle Canaris (The Man with Nine Lives), in addition to the shuttle piloted by Aurora of the Celestra (Die Meuterei).

In addition to their ship compliment, the Colonials have at least one Cylon Raider in their possession, as a result of their victory at Galaxy's Edge (The Hand of God). [[{{{1}}} (TOS)|{{{1}}}]]
