* Inzwischen präsentiert [[Laura Roslin]] auf der ''[[Colonial One]]'' den anwesenden ein Glas voller gefalteter Zettel mit den Namen der Schiffskapitäne. Fünf Personen sollen gezogen werden, die in [[Gaius Baltar]]s Verhandlung das Tribunal bilden werden. [[Tory Foster]] zieht den ersten Zettel und ließt vor: Captain [[Elias Meeker]], ''[[Gideon]]''.
* Adama schaut sich mehr von Thraces Akten an, darunter eine Auszeichnung für Tapferkeit für ihre Handlungen bei der Rettungsaktion der Zivilisten aus [[Caprica (RDM)|Caprica]].

Über dem Foto steht "Sehen Sie die Ähnlichkeit?" und darunter, "Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, <u>junger</u> <u>Mann</u>".  Unterschrieben ist sie mit "Alles Liebe, Kara". Dies löst bei Adama ein Lachen aus und er wischt sich die Tränen aus den Augen.
* Auf dem Flugdeck steht ein betrunkener [[Samuel Anders]] auf einer [[Viper (RDM)|Viper]]. Er wirft eine Münze und ruft "Zahl". Zum fünften mal hintereinander hat er nun richtig geraten. [[Anthony Figurski]], [[Hamish McCall]] und [[Margaret Edmondson]] beobachten ihn dabei.

Als Apollo ihn fragt, ob es ihm gut geht, sagt Anders, dass sie nicht hätte sterben dürfen, und er wolle jetzt woanders hingehen. Er steht auf, rutscht aber ab und fällt von der Viper aufden Boden. Adama klettert von der Viper hinunter zu Sam, zu dem schon einige Zuschauer zur Hilfe geeilt sind. Anders sagt nur: "Ich glaube, ich bin gefallen."
*Während Adama Anders auf Verletzungen überprüft fragt Anders ihn: "Sieist noch am Leben, oder?" Adama verneint das und Anders antwortet weinend: "ich weiß."
* Im [[CIC]] erzählt Colonel [[Saul Tigh]] Admiral Adama, dass er als einer der fünf Schiffskapitäne gewählt wurde, die Baltars Tribunal bilden.
* Auf dem Hangardeck beschwert sich Racetrack darüber, dass sie [[Alan Hughes|Baltars Anwalt]] von der ''[[Zephyr]]'' hin und herfliegen muss. Das Schlimmste dabei sei jedoch, dass er ihr immer ins Ohr flüstert, sie jedoch einen Helm auf hat. Außerdem hasst sie es, dass er an Bord immer die Schuhe auszieht.
* [[Hamish McCall|Skulls]] fragt sich, warum Baltar überhaupt eine Verhandlung bekommt, da Baltar offensichtlich schuldig ist. [[Callandra Tyrol|Cally]] antwortet ihm, dass das eben Justiz ist.
* Eine Explosion erschüttert den [[Raptor]]. Racetrack verlässt den Raptor unverletzt, doch Baltars Anwalt ist tot.
===Akt 1===
*Auf der ''[[Colonial One]]'' findet eine Pressekonferenz statt. Die Reporter fragen Präsidentin Roslin nach einem Ersatz für Baltars Anwalt und ob es im Interesse [[Die Flotte (RDM)|der Flotte]] ist einen Prozess abzuhalten. Roslin stellt klar fest, dass diese Regierung dem Terror niemals nachgeben werde und Gaius Baltar bekommt auf jeden Fall eine Verhandlung.
*Im Besprechungsraum der Piloten ist die Stimmung ebenfalls getrübt. Major Adama ist unaufmerksam und macht Fehler, als er eine Aufklärungsmission plant. Adama nennt Racetrack fälschlicherweise Starbuck, nachdem der [[Raptor]]pilot einen Witz über [[Sharon Agathon|Sharon "Athena" Agathon]] macht. Danach hängt eine drückende Stille im Raum. Adama entschuldigt sich und entlässt dann die Piloten.
*Roslin und William Adama unterhalten sich mit Baltars neuem Verteidiger, [[Romo Lampkin]]. Lampkins [[Lance|Katze]] springt plötzlich aus seinem Seesack auf Roslins Tisch und erschreckt sie. Lampkin packt den Kater wieder weg und behauptet, dass er niemanden verletzen wird, nicht so wie seine Frau.
*Adama bittet seinen Sohn, für Lampkins Sicherheit zu sorgen. Als der jüngere Adama fragt warum er als [[CAG]] abgelöst werden soll und darauf hinweist, dass er "okay" ist, sagt der Admiral ihm, dass er weiß, dass sein Sohn nicht in Ordnung ist, weil er selbst den Tod von Thrace noch nicht verarbeitet hat.
*Lampkin wird sein neues Quartier gezeigt. Lampkin möchte gerne seine Klienten sehen; er will ihn aber nicht in der Zelle sprechen, oder im Verhörraum, sondern in einem Raum, der nicht abgehört wird; eventuell in Adamas Quartier. Außerdem erzählt der Major Adama, dass er ein Student von seinem Großvater war, [[Joseph Adama]].
*Die Szene wechselt zu einer Handschuhe tragenden Person, die gerade einen Sprengsatz bastelt.
===Akt 2===
*Baltar, eine kugelsichere Weste tragend, wird von [[Marines]] zu seinem Anwalt in Major in Adamas Quartier gebracht. Adama ist zwar auch anwesend, doch Lampkin versichert ihm, dass er eine Geheimhaltungsklausel unterzeichnet hat.
*Baltars dringlichster Wunsch ist es, sein [[Meine Triumphe, Meine Fehler|Buch]] weiterzuschreiben, aber Lampkin weist ihn darauf hin, dass das für seine Verteidigung vielleicht nicht gerade hilfreich ist. Baltar scheint das einzusehen und spricht stattdessen von [[Caprica-Sechs]], mit der er dringend reden muss, denn sie sei der Schlüssel zu allem. Er weiß, dass das Tribunal Caprica-Sechs gegen ihn verwenden wird.
*Nach dem Gespräch will Lampkin von Adama zur "Colonial One" geflogen werden. Dieser weigert sich erst, wird von Lampkin aber entsprechend bearbeitet und stimmt zu, wenn auch widerwillig.
*Auf dem Hangardeck stellt sich [[Aaron Kelly]] Adama in den Weg und erinnert ihn daran, dass er auf Admiral Adamas Befehl hin, das Schiff nicht verlassen darf. Major Adama setzt sich aber über den Befehl seines Vaters hinweg und steigt mit [[Sharon Agathon|Athena]] und Lampkin in den Raptor.
*Als die Luke des Raptors beinahe geschlossen ist, springt Lampkins Katze aus dem Raptor. Tyrol sieht das und fordert alle  [[Deckarbeiter]] auf, die Katze wieder einzufangen.
*Chief Tyrol krabbelt selbst unter den Raptor, um sich die Katze zu schnappen und entdeckt dabei eine Bombe. Er befiehlt allen, sofort zu verschwinden.
*Später, in Admiral Adamas Büro ist dieser auf seine Sohn ziemlich wütend, da er seinen Befehl nicht befolgt hat. Der Admiral befiehlt seinem Sohn, seinen Job ordentlich zu machen, denn er wird auf der anderen Seite des Gerichtssaals als Mitglied des Tribunals sein.
===Akt 3===
*Die Bombe wurde entschärft und analysiert. Die Deckmannschaft und einige Offiziere besprechen das Problem: Einer von ihnen ist ein Verräter. [[Cally Tyrol]] äußert ihre Meinung, dass es sich um ein Werk der Zylonen handelt, woraufhin Athena beleidigt den Raum verlässt.
*Major Adama warnt Lampkin, dass er auf sich selbst aufpassen soll, doch er meint nur, dass, wenn jemand ihn umbringen will, derjenige auch einen Weg finden wird.
*In seiner Zelle würde Baltar gerne mit seinem Buch weitermachen, jedoch kann er seinen Stift nicht mehr finden.
*Auf der ''Colonial One'', sucht Roslin ihre Brille, die wie vom Erdboden verschwunden ist. Roslin gewährt Lampkin ein Gespräch mit [[Caprica-Sechs]], unter den selben Voraussetzungen wie sie die Staatsanwaltschaft hatte: im Verhörraum. [[Tory Foster]] entschuldigt sich bei Major Adama, dass sie die geforderten Unterlagen noch nicht finden konnte, aber wird sie ihm sofort zuschicken lassen, sobald sie die Unterlagen gefunden hat.
*Als Lampkin Caprica-Sechs befragt, erwähnt sie, dass sie Baltar liebt. Lampkin erzählt ihr von seiner Erfahrung mit der Liebe, was Caprica sichtbar berührt. Sie fragt ihn, ob Baltar nach ihr gefragt hat. Lampkin nimmt seine Sonnenbrille ab und zeigt ihr Baltars Stift und sagt ihr, dass dieses Opfer seiner Freiheit, ein Ausdruck seiner Liebe ist.
*Lampkin informiert sie auch darüber, dass sie, anders als Baltar, bestimmt keine Verhandlung bekommen werde. Deswegen fragt er sie jetzt, ob ihre Liebe genau so weh tut wie seine. Sie antwortet mit ja.
*Nach dem Verhör begeben sich Adama und Lampkin in die Kantine der ''Galactica''. Adama kritisiert Lampkins Vorgehensweise, schließlich habe der nicht unerheblich gelogen. Lampkin aber verteidigt sich – jeder habe seine Dämonen – und erklärt dem leicht ratlosen Adama , warum dessen Großvater so gern Menschen verteidigt habe, die viel Böses getan haben. Bevor er geht, bestätigt Lampkin Adama noch, dass seine Geschichte über die Liebe, die er der Sechs zuvor erzählt hat, wahr sei.
*Begleitet von mehreren Wachen geht Lampkin zurück zu seinem Quartier. Direkt davor bekommt er von [[Anthony Figurski]] die Akten, die er angefordert hat. Als die Marines die Box untersuchen wollen, erwähnt Figurski, dass er dabei war, als Captain Kelly sie selbst inspiziert hat. Die [[Marines]] sind skeptisch und mit Lampkin untersuchen sie die Box.
*Während Lampkin seinen Code an seinem Türschloss eingibt, bemerkt ein Marine eine Schraube auf dem Boden. Schnell merkt er, dass die Schraube zum Türschloss gehört und stößt Lampkin auf die Seite, ehe die darin befindliche bombe explodiert.
===Akt 4===
*Lampkin überlebt den Anschlag, liegt aber auf der Krankenstation. Major Adama spricht mit ihm und bringt ihm seine Tasche.
*Lampkin verrät Adama, dass er ein [[w:kleptomanie|Kleptomane]] ist. Major Adama räumt die Tasche Stück für Stück aus und Lampkin kommentiert jedes Teil: Roslins Brille, ein Schuh der Staatsanwältin, ein Knopf von Admiral Adamas Jacke. Lampkin erklärt, dass er sich die Sachen nur borgt, weil sie auch etwas über ihre Besitzer aussagen. Auf die Frage, was er von ihm geklaut hat, antwortet Lampkin, dass er Starbucks Bild im Visier hatte, doch er hat es ihm nicht genommen, weil er findet, dass Adama schon genug verloren hat.
*Schließlich übergibt Lampkin Adama einen Brief, mit dem Stift, den er Gaius Baltar geben soll. Zuletzt findet Adama in der Tasche einen Gegenstand, den nur der Bombenleger besitzen konnte. Der käme von Captain Kelly, erklärt Lampkin.
*Major Adama befragt Captain Kelly, der dann auch gesteht, der Bombenleger zu sein und er warnt Adama auch davor, dass er die Angriffe fortsetzen werde, wenn er nicht eingesperrt wird.
*Der Admiral setzt seinen Sohn wieder als [[CAG]] ein, aber der jüngere Adama möchte lieber Lampkin unterstützen. Dies stößt bei seinem Vater aber auf Ablehnung. Als der Admiral seinen Sohn zum Dienst schicken will fragt dieser ihn, ob das ein Befehl ist. Der Admiral antwortet ihm, dass er es leid ist, ihm Befehle zu geben.
* Im CIC befiehlt Adama, dass sie den Major vom Dienstplan streichen sollen und, dass Helo weiter der CAG bleiben soll. Er sagt allen anwesenden:"Mein Sohn hat wichtigere Dinge zu erledigen."
*Adama hängt Starbucks Bild, wie von ihr gewünscht, neben das von Kat. Anders, momentan auf Krücken angewiesen, kommt hinzu. Er wollte nicht hochkommen, hat aber mittlerweile keine Ausrede mehr dafür, es nicht zu tun. Als Adama gehen will, sagt er zu ihm, dass sie sich bald wieder sehen werden.
*Baltar findet einen Umschlag mit seinem Stift darin und einem Brief von seinem Anwalt.
*In dem Brief erzält Lampkin Baltar auf poetische Weise, dass es keine mächtigeren Verbündeten gibt, als einen Sohn, der aus dem Schatten seines Vaters treten will.

== Analysis ==
* A noticeable pattern between the two Adamas is evident whenever both are going through a stressful or traumatic situation. Whereas the [[William Adama|elder Adama]] has the experience and the desire to focus on the job that he has to do, the [[Lee Adama|younger Adama]] consistently displays an inability to cope and process his emotions.  This difference between the two has often led to sharp divisions, causing another tear in their damaged relationship:
** In the [[Miniseries]], Bill Adama is trying to get on with his life after the loss of his son Zak, but Lee is still full of rage over the incident and quite unambiguously holds his father responsible for what happened.
** When the two Adamas do not agree on the same method of coping with the destruction of the ''Olympic Carrier'' in "[[33]]".  This eventually leads to Lee Adama becoming [[Laura Roslin|Roslin]]'s military adviser and eventual co-conspirator during the hunt for the [[Arrow of Apollo]].
** During the planning for the [[Battle of New Caprica]], the two Adamas butt heads again over strategy and whether it is worth the risk of losing the last remnants of humanity that were with [[Galactica (RDM)|''Galactica'']] and [[Pegasus (RDM)|''Pegasus'']] at the time.
* Lee Adama has consistently shown a tendency to prove that he is not like his father, even though both are described as stubborn by [[Anastasia Dualla|Dualla]] and [[Carolanne Adama]]. This tendency is evident in the last argument between the two when Apollo accuses Adama of not wanting him to become like his grandfather.
* When Lee Adama mistakenly calls [[Racetrack]] "Starbuck," his mental state is reminiscent of "[[Black Market]]" when he constantly found himself recollecting events on Caprica before the genocide.
* William Adama's failure to listen to Carolanne Adama's pleas and advice to tell his son how proud he is of him comes back with a vengeance when Apollo repeatedly asks his father if he is giving him an order, the implication being that Apollo wants to know if his father is treating him as a son or as a soldier. Adama's refusal to ask Apollo to obey his orders as his son will probably lead to further dissension between the two.
* [[Romo Lampkin]], though he appears to be a lawyer with little courtroom experience, has demonstrated a deep understanding of the human psyche. He takes Roslin's glasses to prevent her from being taken seriously during the trial. His other feats such as raising doubt and bringing out [[Caprica-Six]]'s feelings for [[Gaius Baltar|Baltar]], and his slow but sure persuasion of Lee Adama into helping with Baltar's case, give hints to a man who obviously has immense experience with the art of manipulation.
* Lee Adama honors [[Kara Thrace|Thrace]]'s request of having her photo posted next to [[Louanne Katraine|Kat]]'s. His inability to let go of the photo may represent a possible marriage conflict with Dualla if he is unable to truly move on.
* [[Cally Tyrol]] correctly states that the [[Cylons (RDM)|Cylons]] wouldn't even need to fire one shot because they may find the [[The Fleet (RDM)|Fleet]] had torn itself apart because of humanity's tendency towards self-destruction. However, it is also clear that she has not realized that she and the many workers are just as much a part of the problems when they essentially risked the existence of the Fleet with their work strikes, refusal to refine [[tylium]], and disobedience toward military orders ([[Dirty Hands]]).  The summary of all those acts cannot be attributed to Cylon intervention as Cally Tyrol is implying that [[Sharon Agathon|Athena]] is responsible for the bombings.
* Two weeks have passed since the events of "[[Maelstrom]]". During this time, Adama apparently has been mulling over his memories of Starbuck, including a review of her military record. The audience sees, amongst the items in the folder, a hand-made birthday card which Thrace gave Adama for his birthday once. It jokingly shows Thrace with a color pen mustache and glasses, and asks if Adama can see the resemblance. This moment reinforces the theme that Starbuck was very much a daughter to Adama, even though he stated otherwise in "[[Torn]]". It is very clear that he still sees Thrace as a daughter to him.
* After the events of "[[The Woman King]]", Helo has been reinstated amongst the pilots of ''Galactica'', as the original purpose of assigning him to [[Dogsville]] was in response to his objections and sabotage of the Cylon biological weapon. Starting with "[[Dirty Hands]]", Helo is present at briefings in the ready room, and appears to be a squadron leader. Thus, once Apollo's flight status is revoked it is only natural for Adama to promote Helo to the CAG position because of seniority and trust.
* It is unclear whether Helo has experience with a Viper, but numerous Viper pilots have been flying Raptors so far.  Whether this goes both ways it yet to be seen, but with Helo's position as head of a squadron and now CAG, it appears that he has at least enough operational and tactical knowledge to do the necessary organizational and administrative duties. His previous experience as ''Galactica's'' [[XO]] may also have been a factor in his appointment.
* Though Kelly tells Apollo that he would never have detonated the bomb with him inside, the fact that the bomb had been planted and that Kelly couldn't anticipate Apollo's impromptu decision to join Lampkin makes it clear that Kelly's original intention was to kill Lampkin ''and'' Athena.  Whether this is an indirect statement on Kelly's view on Athena's Cylon heritage or his desire to raise the stakes by not only killing Baltar's lawyer, but sacrifice a member of the crew, is unclear.
* This is the first episode since the end of Season 2 that any member of the "[[The Colonial Gang]]," specifically [[Playa Palacios]] appear in the series. This episode and the nature of the remaining episodes may indicate a return to the President-news press relationship that the audience has seen in the past.

Überblick

Da Gaius Baltars Verhandlung schon in zwei Wochen stattfindet, hat Lee Adama die Aufgabe, Romo Lampkin, Baltars zweiten Anwalt, zu beschützen und kommt dabei in die Situation, gegen seinen eigenen Vater vorzugehen, welcher selbst zu einem der fünf Geschworenen in Baltars Prozess ernannt wurde.


Zusammenfassung

Eröffnungsszene

Adama stößt auf eine alte, selbstgemachte Grußkarte von Kara Thrace.
  • William Adama schaut sich Kara Thraces Akten an. Oben auf liegt ein disziplinarer Hinweise und ein Bild von ihr.
  • Inzwischen präsentiert Laura Roslin auf der Colonial One den anwesenden ein Glas voller gefalteter Zettel mit den Namen der Schiffskapitäne. Fünf Personen sollen gezogen werden, die in Gaius Baltars Verhandlung das Tribunal bilden werden. Tory Foster zieht den ersten Zettel und ließt vor: Captain Elias Meeker, Gideon.
  • Adama schaut sich mehr von Thraces Akten an, darunter eine Auszeichnung für Tapferkeit für ihre Handlungen bei der Rettungsaktion der Zivilisten aus Caprica.
  • Foster zieht den letzten Zettel aus dem Glas. Roslin faltet ihn auf und beginnt automatisch ihn vorzulesen, aber hört entsetzt auf zu lesen, als sie merkt um wen es sich handelt.
  • Als Adama weiter durch die Akte blättert stößt er auf eine alte, selbstgemachte Grußkarte von Kara. Vorne drauf steht: "Sie waren immer wie ein Vater für mich. . ." Nach dem Öffnen der Karte kann er ein Bild von Thrace sehen, auf dem sie eine Brille und einen Bart trägt. Über dem Foto steht "Sehen Sie die Ähnlichkeit?" und darunter, "Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, junger Mann". Unterschrieben ist sie mit "Alles Liebe, Kara". Dies löst bei Adama ein Lachen aus und er wischt sich die Tränen aus den Augen.
  • Auf dem Flugdeck steht ein betrunkener Samuel Anders auf einer Viper. Er wirft eine Münze und ruft "Zahl". Zum fünften mal hintereinander hat er nun richtig geraten. Anthony Figurski, Hamish McCall und Margaret Edmondson beobachten ihn dabei.
  • Im Gedächtnisgang steht Lee Adama vor Kats Bild. Er hat ein Bild von Thrace eingesteckt, zieht es zögernd aus der Tasche und steckt es schnell wieder ein, als er Racetracks Schritte hört. Edmondson erweckt dann seine Aufmerksamkeit, indem sie ihn bei seinem Rang anspricht.
  • Noch immer auf dem Cockpit einer Viper stehend, hält Anders seine Münze den Zuschauern entgegen und sagt, dass sein Mädchen zuviel Schwein hat um abzudanken. Adama und Edmondson kommen jetzt auch auf das Hangardeck; Adama klettert zu Anders hinauf und will mit ihm reden. Emotional verstört, setzt er sich zunächst hin. Als Apollo ihn fragt, ob es ihm gut geht, sagt Anders, dass sie nicht hätte sterben dürfen, und er wolle jetzt woanders hingehen. Er steht auf, rutscht aber ab und fällt von der Viper aufden Boden. Adama klettert von der Viper hinunter zu Sam, zu dem schon einige Zuschauer zur Hilfe geeilt sind. Anders sagt nur: "Ich glaube, ich bin gefallen."
  • Während Adama Anders auf Verletzungen überprüft fragt Anders ihn: "Sieist noch am Leben, oder?" Adama verneint das und Anders antwortet weinend: "ich weiß."
  • Im CIC erzählt Colonel Saul Tigh Admiral Adama, dass er als einer der fünf Schiffskapitäne gewählt wurde, die Baltars Tribunal bilden.
  • Auf dem Hangardeck beschwert sich Racetrack darüber, dass sie Baltars Anwalt von der Zephyr hin und herfliegen muss. Das Schlimmste dabei sei jedoch, dass er ihr immer ins Ohr flüstert, sie jedoch einen Helm auf hat. Außerdem hasst sie es, dass er an Bord immer die Schuhe auszieht.
  • Skulls fragt sich, warum Baltar überhaupt eine Verhandlung bekommt, da Baltar offensichtlich schuldig ist. Cally antwortet ihm, dass das eben Justiz ist.
  • Eine Explosion erschüttert den Raptor. Racetrack verlässt den Raptor unverletzt, doch Baltars Anwalt ist tot.

Akt 1

  • Auf der Colonial One findet eine Pressekonferenz statt. Die Reporter fragen Präsidentin Roslin nach einem Ersatz für Baltars Anwalt und ob es im Interesse der Flotte ist einen Prozess abzuhalten. Roslin stellt klar fest, dass diese Regierung dem Terror niemals nachgeben werde und Gaius Baltar bekommt auf jeden Fall eine Verhandlung.
  • Im Besprechungsraum der Piloten ist die Stimmung ebenfalls getrübt. Major Adama ist unaufmerksam und macht Fehler, als er eine Aufklärungsmission plant. Adama nennt Racetrack fälschlicherweise Starbuck, nachdem der Raptorpilot einen Witz über Sharon "Athena" Agathon macht. Danach hängt eine drückende Stille im Raum. Adama entschuldigt sich und entlässt dann die Piloten.
  • Roslin und William Adama unterhalten sich mit Baltars neuem Verteidiger, Romo Lampkin. Lampkins Katze springt plötzlich aus seinem Seesack auf Roslins Tisch und erschreckt sie. Lampkin packt den Kater wieder weg und behauptet, dass er niemanden verletzen wird, nicht so wie seine Frau.
  • Adama bittet seinen Sohn, für Lampkins Sicherheit zu sorgen. Als der jüngere Adama fragt warum er als CAG abgelöst werden soll und darauf hinweist, dass er "okay" ist, sagt der Admiral ihm, dass er weiß, dass sein Sohn nicht in Ordnung ist, weil er selbst den Tod von Thrace noch nicht verarbeitet hat.
  • Lampkin wird sein neues Quartier gezeigt. Lampkin möchte gerne seine Klienten sehen; er will ihn aber nicht in der Zelle sprechen, oder im Verhörraum, sondern in einem Raum, der nicht abgehört wird; eventuell in Adamas Quartier. Außerdem erzählt der Major Adama, dass er ein Student von seinem Großvater war, Joseph Adama.
  • Die Szene wechselt zu einer Handschuhe tragenden Person, die gerade einen Sprengsatz bastelt.

Akt 2

  • Baltar, eine kugelsichere Weste tragend, wird von Marines zu seinem Anwalt in Major in Adamas Quartier gebracht. Adama ist zwar auch anwesend, doch Lampkin versichert ihm, dass er eine Geheimhaltungsklausel unterzeichnet hat.
  • Baltars dringlichster Wunsch ist es, sein Buch weiterzuschreiben, aber Lampkin weist ihn darauf hin, dass das für seine Verteidigung vielleicht nicht gerade hilfreich ist. Baltar scheint das einzusehen und spricht stattdessen von Caprica-Sechs, mit der er dringend reden muss, denn sie sei der Schlüssel zu allem. Er weiß, dass das Tribunal Caprica-Sechs gegen ihn verwenden wird.
  • Nach dem Gespräch will Lampkin von Adama zur "Colonial One" geflogen werden. Dieser weigert sich erst, wird von Lampkin aber entsprechend bearbeitet und stimmt zu, wenn auch widerwillig.
  • Auf dem Hangardeck stellt sich Aaron Kelly Adama in den Weg und erinnert ihn daran, dass er auf Admiral Adamas Befehl hin, das Schiff nicht verlassen darf. Major Adama setzt sich aber über den Befehl seines Vaters hinweg und steigt mit Athena und Lampkin in den Raptor.
  • Als die Luke des Raptors beinahe geschlossen ist, springt Lampkins Katze aus dem Raptor. Tyrol sieht das und fordert alle Deckarbeiter auf, die Katze wieder einzufangen.
  • Chief Tyrol krabbelt selbst unter den Raptor, um sich die Katze zu schnappen und entdeckt dabei eine Bombe. Er befiehlt allen, sofort zu verschwinden.
  • Später, in Admiral Adamas Büro ist dieser auf seine Sohn ziemlich wütend, da er seinen Befehl nicht befolgt hat. Der Admiral befiehlt seinem Sohn, seinen Job ordentlich zu machen, denn er wird auf der anderen Seite des Gerichtssaals als Mitglied des Tribunals sein.

Akt 3

  • Die Bombe wurde entschärft und analysiert. Die Deckmannschaft und einige Offiziere besprechen das Problem: Einer von ihnen ist ein Verräter. Cally Tyrol äußert ihre Meinung, dass es sich um ein Werk der Zylonen handelt, woraufhin Athena beleidigt den Raum verlässt.
  • Major Adama warnt Lampkin, dass er auf sich selbst aufpassen soll, doch er meint nur, dass, wenn jemand ihn umbringen will, derjenige auch einen Weg finden wird.
  • In seiner Zelle würde Baltar gerne mit seinem Buch weitermachen, jedoch kann er seinen Stift nicht mehr finden.
  • Auf der Colonial One, sucht Roslin ihre Brille, die wie vom Erdboden verschwunden ist. Roslin gewährt Lampkin ein Gespräch mit Caprica-Sechs, unter den selben Voraussetzungen wie sie die Staatsanwaltschaft hatte: im Verhörraum. Tory Foster entschuldigt sich bei Major Adama, dass sie die geforderten Unterlagen noch nicht finden konnte, aber wird sie ihm sofort zuschicken lassen, sobald sie die Unterlagen gefunden hat.
  • Als Lampkin Caprica-Sechs befragt, erwähnt sie, dass sie Baltar liebt. Lampkin erzählt ihr von seiner Erfahrung mit der Liebe, was Caprica sichtbar berührt. Sie fragt ihn, ob Baltar nach ihr gefragt hat. Lampkin nimmt seine Sonnenbrille ab und zeigt ihr Baltars Stift und sagt ihr, dass dieses Opfer seiner Freiheit, ein Ausdruck seiner Liebe ist.
  • Lampkin informiert sie auch darüber, dass sie, anders als Baltar, bestimmt keine Verhandlung bekommen werde. Deswegen fragt er sie jetzt, ob ihre Liebe genau so weh tut wie seine. Sie antwortet mit ja.
  • Nach dem Verhör begeben sich Adama und Lampkin in die Kantine der Galactica. Adama kritisiert Lampkins Vorgehensweise, schließlich habe der nicht unerheblich gelogen. Lampkin aber verteidigt sich – jeder habe seine Dämonen – und erklärt dem leicht ratlosen Adama , warum dessen Großvater so gern Menschen verteidigt habe, die viel Böses getan haben. Bevor er geht, bestätigt Lampkin Adama noch, dass seine Geschichte über die Liebe, die er der Sechs zuvor erzählt hat, wahr sei.
  • Begleitet von mehreren Wachen geht Lampkin zurück zu seinem Quartier. Direkt davor bekommt er von Anthony Figurski die Akten, die er angefordert hat. Als die Marines die Box untersuchen wollen, erwähnt Figurski, dass er dabei war, als Captain Kelly sie selbst inspiziert hat. Die Marines sind skeptisch und mit Lampkin untersuchen sie die Box.
  • Während Lampkin seinen Code an seinem Türschloss eingibt, bemerkt ein Marine eine Schraube auf dem Boden. Schnell merkt er, dass die Schraube zum Türschloss gehört und stößt Lampkin auf die Seite, ehe die darin befindliche bombe explodiert.

Akt 4

  • Lampkin überlebt den Anschlag, liegt aber auf der Krankenstation. Major Adama spricht mit ihm und bringt ihm seine Tasche.
  • Lampkin verrät Adama, dass er ein Kleptomane ist. Major Adama räumt die Tasche Stück für Stück aus und Lampkin kommentiert jedes Teil: Roslins Brille, ein Schuh der Staatsanwältin, ein Knopf von Admiral Adamas Jacke. Lampkin erklärt, dass er sich die Sachen nur borgt, weil sie auch etwas über ihre Besitzer aussagen. Auf die Frage, was er von ihm geklaut hat, antwortet Lampkin, dass er Starbucks Bild im Visier hatte, doch er hat es ihm nicht genommen, weil er findet, dass Adama schon genug verloren hat.
  • Schließlich übergibt Lampkin Adama einen Brief, mit dem Stift, den er Gaius Baltar geben soll. Zuletzt findet Adama in der Tasche einen Gegenstand, den nur der Bombenleger besitzen konnte. Der käme von Captain Kelly, erklärt Lampkin.
  • Major Adama befragt Captain Kelly, der dann auch gesteht, der Bombenleger zu sein und er warnt Adama auch davor, dass er die Angriffe fortsetzen werde, wenn er nicht eingesperrt wird.
  • Der Admiral setzt seinen Sohn wieder als CAG ein, aber der jüngere Adama möchte lieber Lampkin unterstützen. Dies stößt bei seinem Vater aber auf Ablehnung. Als der Admiral seinen Sohn zum Dienst schicken will fragt dieser ihn, ob das ein Befehl ist. Der Admiral antwortet ihm, dass er es leid ist, ihm Befehle zu geben.
  • Im CIC befiehlt Adama, dass sie den Major vom Dienstplan streichen sollen und, dass Helo weiter der CAG bleiben soll. Er sagt allen anwesenden:"Mein Sohn hat wichtigere Dinge zu erledigen."
  • Adama hängt Starbucks Bild, wie von ihr gewünscht, neben das von Kat. Anders, momentan auf Krücken angewiesen, kommt hinzu. Er wollte nicht hochkommen, hat aber mittlerweile keine Ausrede mehr dafür, es nicht zu tun. Als Adama gehen will, sagt er zu ihm, dass sie sich bald wieder sehen werden.
  • Baltar findet einen Umschlag mit seinem Stift darin und einem Brief von seinem Anwalt.
  • In dem Brief erzält Lampkin Baltar auf poetische Weise, dass es keine mächtigeren Verbündeten gibt, als einen Sohn, der aus dem Schatten seines Vaters treten will.
