Jede Episode von Caprica hat eine Laufzeit von 42-48 Minutes. Die angezeigten Daten sind die originalen U.S.-Ausstrahlungsdaten, nicht die gegenwärtigen Wiederholungen.

Neun Episoden wurden von Jänner 2010 bis März 2010 auf dem Syfy Channel ausgestrahlt. Die übrigen Episoden sollten ursprünglich ab Jänner 2011 ausgestrahlt werden, jedoch beschloss Syfy im Herbst 2010, dass sie Caprica beginnend mit dem 5. Oktober 2010 senden werden. Syfy brachte 4 der ausstehenden 9 Episoden und kündigten danach an, dass sie die Serie absetzen werden. Die Ausstrahlung der letzten 5 Episoden wurde auf den 4. Jänner 2011 gesetzt. In Kanada entschloss sich der Space channel, die letzten 5 Episoden schon im November 2010 zu senden. Die DVD der Staffel 1.0 enthält die ersten 9 Episoden (bis zu "End of Line") und die DVD der Staffel 1.5 enthält die restlichen 9 Episoden 10-18 (veröffentlichungsdatum war der 21. Dezember 2010).

Die Serie wurde komplett synchronisiert und lief bereits im deutschen Pay-TV. Eine deutsche Version der DVDs gibt es seit Mai 2013.

Zusammefassung
Im Zuge einer Tragödie, die die Familien Adama und Graystone erlebt, steht ein wissenschaftlicher Durchbruch bevor -- die Erfindung der Zylonen.

Anmerkung:

Diese Episode ist der zweistündige Pilotfilm für die Caprica TV Serie, dem ersten Ableger der neu-interpretierten Serie. Produziert wurde er von Remi Aubuchon, Ronald D. Moore und David Eick für den Syfy Channel. Der Film wurde noch vor der TV-Veröffentlichung auf DVD verbreitet.

Zusammefassung
Zoes Verbindung zum Zylonenprototyp macht es Daniel und seiner Firma schwierig, U-87 Einheiten zu duplizieren. Amanda schaut in das geheime Leben ihrer Tochter und erkennt, dass sie die reale Zoe kaum kannte. Schwester Clarice lädt Lacy zum Essen ein, während Sam beginnt, seinen schlechten Einfluss auf seinen Neffen auszuüben.
